File & Serve Maryland (FSMD) is an eFiling application for the statewide electronic filing manager, MDEC Odyssey.
FSMD is provided by File & ServeXpress, the same company that has provided eFiling and eService in Maryland since 2022. FSMD can be used for eFiling and eService in all Maryland courts that have gone live on the Odyssey system.

Yes. If you’re already registered through MDEC, you can use your existing MDEC Odyssey email address and password to access FSMD. No additional registration is required.
No. If your firm is already registered through MDEC, FSMD uses your existing firm and staff registration information.
No. Your existing payment account information is transferred from eFiling Manager, allowing you to continue using the payment account associated with your current service provider.
FSMD charges a $3.00 service provider fee per transaction for:

Additional court and system fees may apply, including:

Court filing fees: Standard court filing fees are determined by the court. Contact your local court for current filing fee information.

Convenience fees: MDEC Odyssey may charge a convenience fee for credit card or eCheck processing.

MDEC Odyssey requires payment by credit card. Firm administrators can add payment information during registration through the Payment Accounts tab.

Yes. FSMD offers monthly billing for firms that prefer to receive an invoice rather than pay for each filing individually. Invoices are issued every 30 days for applicable filing costs and fees.

If your filing is rejected by the Clerk, the associated court filing and processing fees are not charged.
Documents up to 25 MB can be eFiled in the Maryland District Courts. Documents larger than 25 MB must be divided into multiple volumes before filing.
Cases appear in File & Serve Maryland after you submit your first filing for the case. Once the filing is submitted, the case will appear on your Case Overviews page.
