In April 2024, the Illinois Secretary of State (IL SoS) selected File & ServeXpress (FSX) to modernize its legal filing processes with a secure, cloud-based CMS solution. The partnership marks a significant step in Illinois’s effort to streamline workflows and ensure greater accessibility for legal professionals and agency staff.

Challenges  

The IL SoS had been relying on aging legacy systems that limited flexibility and scalability, requiring manual processes that slowed operations and increased administrative workload. The IL SoS needed a secure, cloud-ready CMS solution that supported staff and filers with a smooth, uninterrupted workflow. A smooth transition was crucial to maintaining the system's ability to serve the public effectively.
